Excellent little snack maker May 17, 2007 M. Scott (Great Yarouth) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
This Diablo works an absolute treat, you get 2 bits of bread and push them into the diable a bit like a mince pie! Then fill with whatever is in the fridge (cheese and ham is the best!) and then close the unit. Put it on the hob for 3 minutes each side and it makes a cracking toastie sandwich. Very easy to clean as it is titanium coated and does what it says on the tin. Also makes a great little bread and butter pudding!! Strongly recommended and a nice gift.
The best thing since slice bread September 25, 2008 Ms. S. Nash (Wales) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What can i say!!!!! its brilliant. it took us years to find the perfect sandwich maker, we finally found it. In fact the day it arrived we decided to try it, and after making the first sandwich i was buying a second one. There's no mess, easy clean and the bread does not stick to the plates even without butter or oil. It cooks very quickly (just watch your fingers as it does get really hot). Highly recommended for those tostie enthusiasts and a must for a kitchen gadget.
Great toasted sandwiches October 16, 2008 S. Thomas (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This really does make very nice toasted sandwiches. I have been using mine for a few years now and the only gripe is that you waste a lot of bread - but that keeps the birds happy, I suppose. You have to put a piece of bread in each side and press it to fit, then you have lots of space to insert the ingredients of your choice. The two sides then close together, chopping the bread into a circular shape (hence the waste). The handle stays cool but, as another reviewer said, you do have to be careful not to touch the sandwich end as that stays hot for a while. The finished sandwich slides easily out once it has been toasted and always looks good. I have tried a few sandwich makers over time but this is the only one that has delivered continually good results and is built to last.
Great Toasted sandwiches November 26, 2008 Ian Cousins (Swansea) I like toasted sandwiches but found traditional sandwich makers make the sandwich too hard, the Diablo makes soft and tasty toasted sandwiches. You dont have to waste bread either, the cut off bread pieces can be put into your next sandwich and you can make another perfectly tasty toasted masterpiece.
